Welcome to Metcalfe Skating Club!

Metcalfe Skating Club provides skating instruction for children aged 3 and above and Adults who want to learn basic skating or figure skating. Our coaches are qualified through Skate Canada and take great pride in the sport.

 

President's Message 

The club has had an amazing 2012-2013 season. We reached a record high in Intro and StarSkaters, our Synchro team is in its second year and over the year their numbers also increased. We implemented a Facebook page, we entered a float in the Metcalfe Santa Claus Parade, we sold coffee as a fundraiser, we started selling club apparel, we had another successful test day and our Gala was a huge success. We were thrilled to include our Kinder and CanSkaters this year at the Gala, and we filled the stands.  It was wonderful having our Intro and StarSkaters showcase their talents and our Guest Skaters were loved by all.

We would like to thank all the sponsors who have given us their support for 2012-2013 season. We would also like to thank all the parents and non-parents who helped organize different events.

The Club would like to thank our coaches who always go beyond their duties and for all the knowledge and experience they bring to the club and to aid the Board of Directors with their expertise.  We could not run the club without their help.   

As you all know our club is solely run by volunteers. I have read somewhere that “Those who can, do. Those who can do more, volunteer”. I would like to thank our dedicated volunteers, who have often worked into the night making sure every event has been a success.

Thank you all for a wonderful year and I look forward to seeing you all again next season.
