The Annual General Meeting and Awards Presentation will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2016 upstairs at the Larry Robinson Arena at 1:30 PM.

All member families and their guests are encouraged to come and hear what the club has accomplished during this past year and to celebrate the achievements of our skaters.  Member families have 1 vote each, voter registration will occur between 1:15 to 1:30 PM.

A very important part of our AGM is the election of next year's Board. The MSC is a not-for-profit organization run completely by volunteers just like you!   Positions that are currently open for nominations are President, Communications, and Test Chair. We must have volunteers filling these positions so that your Skating Club can continue to grow and succeed!  No previous experience or extensive knowledge of skating is required.   If you have any questions please contact myself or another current Board member. Please see the attached document for a general description of positions. Also attached is a nomination form for open positions.

The Awards presentations will immediately follow the A.G.M. Following the Awards presentations there will be a social time and families are asked to bring finger foods, appetizers or desserts.  Please RSVP to the awards co-ordinator, Marie-Claude Cormier by email at and let her know how many of your family will be attending and what you would like to bring to the pot-luck.  We are also looking for a volunteer to take photos that afternoon.

If you have taken photos throughout the season from our CanSkate, Intro, Advance Canskate or StarSkate programs in action please send them to to be used in a slideshow for our year end celebration.

Studio Dance Program For Figure Skaters

A special "Dance Class for Figure Skaters" has been created for all STAR 1 and above skaters by Pique Dance Studio. A series of 8 classes will take place at the Pique Dance Studio facility on Tuesday nights from 8-8:55pm, starting May 2nd, 2017. Note that there is no class on May 23, 2017.

Studio address:
Pique Dance Studio (across from St. Mark's High School)
5710 Longshadow St, Manotick, ON K4M 1M2

To register online please go to .

Once on the website, click on the "register for dance and fitness classes" tab on the left hand side of the page. You will need to create an account (it's a quick process and only needs to be set up once. The account has many advantages including the ability to print out your own tax receipts). Once the account is created select "Dance" and type of class select "Fitness". The Class is called "Dance for Figure Skaters". For skaters younger than 12 or over 18 you will need to "fudge" your skaters actual birthdate (try using 2004 as the year of birth). This will allow you to select the correct program.

The system will automatically add a registration fee, however, they waive that fee for all spring and summer classes. The total cost will be $153.68 including taxes. Payment may be made by cheque or cash in full when arriving for the first session. You can also pay by e-transfer. Simply send transfers to Pique Dance Studio at . Use your skater's name from program registration as the password.

If you have any questions or any issues registering please send an email to or
